Joel is fascinated at the technology of hard window coverings with
motorized controls and infrared and ultrasonic remote control.
His clients are demanding this kind of technology in their new
construction and renovations.
Having been in the design profession and specializing in fabric
detailing for over three decades, he is always amazed at the
innovative designs of textiles that are continuously being
presented to the profession.
Biography/Education/Awards/Etc.
Joel has attended The Pratt Institute Department of Interior
Design and the University of Hartford Art School. He has also
completed a course at the Drapery Institute of Pittsburgh and
was recently awarded "First Place" in the Ado Corporation's 25th
Anniversary Design Competition for which he and his wife were
treated to an 11-day, all expenses paid tour of Bavaria.
Prior to this award, he was awarded a trip to Paris by the Hunter
Douglas Corporation for his sales expertise using their
innovative products in his client's homes.
